Bloukrans Bridge Bungy Jump

Last weekend during our little holiday in Plettenberg Bay, I decided to do this Bungy Jump after much thought due to us having to still hike the Otter Trail. I did not want any complications as we paid to hike & I did not want to lose out on it, so I took a risk & it proved fruitful.

When we arrived, I checked in & got "suited up" into a harness, then we watched others jump before our group went next. There is a bar where you can have a chow & some drinks while they show the people jump on their TV or you can watch it in their shop where they sell all their branded clothing & DVD'S of your jump, etc.

Having done the Oribi Gorge Swing (which is the highest Gorge swing in the world), I expected more from this Bloukrans bungy jump as this is the WORLD'S HIGHEST BRIDGE BUNGY JUMP AT 216M HIGH. Face Adrenalin Run this operation & they make it as safe & enjoyable as possible.

Having said that, I was quite anxious before I jumped but eventually pushed that aside as you only live once right. Well nothing could prepare me for this jump & boy I was thrilled. Armed with my Drift X170 action camera, I jumped & it was damn scary for the first 0,34 secs to the most undeniable best excitement, adrenalin rush I have ever had. I surprisingly bounced a few times before they brought me back up & each bounce felt exciting but only just shorter. When you get to the recoil stage, it is like time has frozen for that split second before it kicks in again & reality hits you with an awesome rush.

Even though I enjoyed this bungy jump, I felt like it was too short. I can't compare the Oribi Gorge Jump to the Bloukrans Bridge Bungy Jump as they are actually very different. All that I will say is that you must go & do it for yourself & you will not regret it.

Where to next you wonder....A sky dive hopefully???? HELL YES

Here is a small video I made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yz_X9vzajSc
